These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Lorebyte Timer study-timer app (“the App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

1. License

We grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. Except as permitted by law, you may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the App.

2. Free trial and one-time purchase

  • The App offers a 7-day free trial after installation (managed within the App).
  • After the trial, core features remain free (with limits such as the number of topics and saved timers and the statistics period).
  • A single one-time purchase ($4.99; App Store pricing may vary by region and promotions) unlocks all features permanently.
  • There are no monthly fees and no auto-renewal. No recurring charges apply.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID upon confirmation of purchase.
  • When you switch or reinstall on a device, restore your purchase via “Restore Purchases.”
  • No additional charge applies to an unlock you already purchased. Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com).

3. User content

You retain rights to the exam names, topics, notes, and other content you register. You must not register content that infringes third-party rights.

4. Disclaimers

Study planning (recommended-time calculation) and statistics are study aids and do not guarantee outcomes or exam results. iCloud sync, Live Activities, and widgets depend on Apple’s services and OS features. The App is provided “as is.”

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages or lost profits. Our liability is limited to the most recent amount you paid, except where prohibited by law.

6. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced in the App or on this page. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, with the Tokyo District Court as the exclusive court of first instance.
